Locals do their part in spring cleanup

A local family took spring cleaning to a whole new level on Saturday. The Millers took their family, including their exchange student from Brazil, their 6-year-old, 3-year-old, and 2-year-old twins on an excursion.Brielle Miller, 6, helps her mother Alex Miller put trash into a bag along M-94 near K.I. Sawyer in Gwinn as sister Quinn Miller, 3, looks on. The young family, along with their exchange student Mari, left, decided to fill “one trash bag for each family member,” during a Saturday outing. “This stretch seems to have a lot of trash on after the snow melts,” Alex Miller said. “I normally come out here and fill a bag myself on the weekdays, and today we just decided to bring out all the kids. It sets a good example for them and helps us to give back to the community.” (Journal photo by Lisa Bowers)
