Gauthier, Rasmussen get notable victories

MARQUETTE — A pair of young riders recently reached milestones during September racing at the Marquette BMX track.

On Sept. 14, Braxton Gauthier, 3, of Ishpeming picked up a win in the Balance Bike class, while on Sept. 21, Jackson Rasmussen, 9, of Marquette got his 10th Novice win to move up to the Intermediate class.

36-40 Cruiser — Daniel Dehlin, Doug Pennala and Jake Gervais

5-under Novice — Kaylin Link, Evelyn Cook and Lucas Ward

6 Novice — Jacob Melka, Chase Dehlin and Mason Mills

9 Novice — Jackson Rasmussen, Derek Potvin and Anna Melka

10 Intermediate — Luc Gervais, Cole Goedert and Charlie Swanson

36-40 Intermediate — Michael Noble, Daniel Dehlin and Jake Gervais

13 Expert — Chase Waters, Lucas Basal and Amiya Trombley

31-35 Cruiser — Doug Pennala, Mark Link and David Niemi
