Riverside pitchers move into 2nd place in Ishpeming

ISHPEMING – Riverside Club won a narrow 10-8 decision over Pine Grove Bar to move into a tie for second place in the Major Division of the Ishpeming Twilight Horseshoe League on July 27.
StoneHouse Window & Door held off Maki’s Mini Mart 11-7 in the other Major match, while in the Classic Division, Cascade Inn edged Paradise Bar 10-8, Household Appliance doubled up Willey’s Tire Shop 12-6 and American Legion and Negaunee VFW tied 9-9.
Gwinn Mixed Doubles
On Aug. 4, 5 Girls and a Guy solidified its first-place standing with a 15-3 win over Flying Iron.
In other matches, Lords of the Ringers doubled up Drunk Uncle 12-6 while Flingers & Ringers slipped past Hideaway 11-8.
On July 28, 5 Girls and a Guy posted another 15-3 victory, this time over Flingers & Ringers, while Drunk Uncle felled The Pit Bosses 12-6 and Hideaway ran away from Flying Iron 16-2.
