Two students from the Marquette Taekwon-Do School recently earned their Fifth Dan black belt in Broomfield, Colorado. Heidi Spiessl of Lansing, left, and Hilija Spiessl of Champion, right, stand with their instructor, Steve Osborne of Cadillac. The Spiessls completed four years of training, obtained a USTF Class A Referee certificate, a USTF Class B Instructor certificate and performed 20 hours of community service. Testing consisted of forms, sparring and board-breaking. Presiding over the test were Senior Grand Master Charles Sereff and grand masters Mike Winegar, Renee Sereff and Paul DeBaca. (Submitted photo)
