MARQUETTE – Last weekend was busy at the Marquette BMX track with a state qualifier held Saturday and double-point race on Sunday.

The state qualifier drew 77 racers and the double-pointer included 40.

Michael Noble, 22, of Marquette was the weekend’s top winner with four victories, while Luc Gervais, 7, of Marquette had three.

Five more racers had two wins apiece – Gavin Mottonen, 5, of Marquette; Lucas Basal, 10, of Marquette; Austin Adas, 11, of White Lake; Levin Topping, 14, of Holland; and Doug Pennala, 43, of Negaunee.
