GWINN – Drunk Uncle took over first place in the Gwinn Mixed Horseshoe League in Week 2 action on May 25 with a 16-2 victory over Flying Iron.
In other matches, 5 Girls & A Guy held off Lords of the Ringers 14-4 and The Pit Bosses and Flingers & Ringers tied 9-9.
In Week 1, The Pit Bosses doubled up The Hideaway 12-6 while there were two 9-9 ties – the first between 5 Girls & A Guy and Drunk Uncle, and the other between Lords of the Ringers and Flying Iron.
Ishpeming Twilight League
On opening night, May 18, Household Appliance scored the biggest victory after doubling up Willey’s Tire Shop 12-6 in the Classic League. Other Classic scores were American Legion downing Negaunee VFW 11-7 and Cascade Inn edging Paradise Bar 10-8.
In the Major League, StoneHouse sank Riverside Club 11-7 while Maki’s Mini Mart maximized their advantage over Pine Grove Bar 10-8.
In Week 2 on May 25 in the Classic League, the Legion pulled out a 10-8 decision over Household Appliance, the same score that Paradise defeated Willey’s.
Negaunee VFW scored a 13-5 win over Cascade Inn.
In the Major League, StoneHouse won a 10-8 nailbiter over Pine Grove. Riverside Club downed Maki’s Mini-Mart 10-8, too.
