MARQUETTE – The Marquette BMX track opened its season with an open house and first race of the season during frigid conditions with temperatures in the 30s and snow flurries gretting racers on Saturday.
BMX membership is open throughout the season. Races continue on Thursdays in May.
Here are results from the Saturday races:
6 Novice – Gavin Bonanni, Stella Dehlin, Gavin Mottonen.
9 Novice – Cameron Mileski, Connor Phillips, Parker Pennala.
13 Novice – Diego Bass, Anthony Newman, Maxwell Zinski.
9 Intermediate – James Newman, Mason Mottonen, Cole Goedert.
46 and over Intermediate – Lucas Basal, Chase Waters, David Niemi
