ISHPEMING – Olivia Letson and Kyra Veiht each went 3 for 3 with Letson including a double to help Holiday defeat mBank 9-6 in the Minor Division of the WIN Girls Slowpitch Softball League.
Madison Dupras of mBank also went 3 for 3, collecting two RBIs.
In another Minor Division game, Honor Credit Union slammed mBank 8-1 as the winners’ Miley Hilsabeck was 3 for 3 with a homer. Jaylynn Watters of mBank had back-to-back outs at second base.
Honor also tripped Hardee’s 10-2 with Honor putting together six consecutive hits that included a grand slam to score five of its runs.
In the league’s Junior Division, Martin Sports chalked up two victories, beating Meyer Family Vision 16-4 and TruNorth Credit Union 15-7.
In the win over Meyer, Martin’s Olivia Corp had a triple, double and single while scoring three runs as Meyer’s Autumn Uren hit a triple and scored one run.
Against TruNorth, the winners’ Hailey Hytinen had a homer, double and single and scored three times while TruNorth’s Madison McNab had a homer and triple and scored twice.
