MARQUETTE – Ron Morgan, Bill Fortin and Glen Fisk of Pat’s Bar I, and Matt Daugherty of Breakers I, all turned in a table run on Mach 17 in the Marquette Men’s Pool League.
In team results, Breakers Roadhouse II trimmed Wooden Nickel II, 9-7; Remie’s defeated Wooden Nickel I, 10-6; and Pat’s Bar I shaded Fat Boyz, 9-7.
Also, Breaker’s Roadhouse I nipped 3rd Base Bar, 9-7; and Dry dock Tavern I played Pat’s Bar II to an 8-all tie.
Wooden Nickel I drew a bye.
On March 10, Morgan and Chip Duquette of Pat’s Bar I, Tim Simula of Breakers I, Dan O’Neal of Fat Boyz and Matt Schultz of Pat’s II all posted table runs.
Breakers Roadhouse I whipped Wooden Nickel II, 12-4; Pat’s Bar I knocked off Remie’s, 11-5; Breakers Roadhouse II edged Dry Dock Tavern I, 9-7; 3rd Base Bar defeated Dry Dock Tavern II, 11-5; and Fat Boyz shaded Pat’s Bar II, 9-7.
Marquette Women’s
In Week 24, Pat’s tripped 3rd Base Bar II, 5-4; Breakers drubbed 906, 7-2; Bayou ripped Wooden Nickel II, 7-2; 3rd Base Bar I edged the DD Dames, 5-4; Remie’s beat Holiday Inn, 6-3; Fat Boyz I trimmed Rose’s, 5-4; and Fat Boyz II dumped Wooden Nickel I, 7-2.
Ishpeming Men’s
In the third week of tournament play on March 23, Jack’s II pulverized Rainbow, 20-4; Venice toppled Jack’s III in overtime, 16-13; Tilden Club handled Wonder Bar, 13-10; Wayside beat Paradise, 14-10; and Jack’s I edged Venice II, 13-11.
Riverside and Rumorz had byes.
In the Kenny Blemke Memorial Singles Tournament, Darryll Larson of Venice placed first; Tony Norem of Jack’s II captured second; Mike Paquette of Paradise copped third; and Mike Kjellman of Wonder Bar finished fourth.
In the second week of tournament play in Division I on March 16, Venice II handled Wonder Bar, 14-10; and Jack’s I edged Jack’s II, 13-11.
In Division II, Rumorz snuck past Venice 13-11 while Riverside defeated Paradise in overtime.
Dave Pietro and Rick Kjellman of Wonder Bar, as well as Jon Matson of Rumorz, turned in table runs.
Steve Harris of Jack’s II, Jeff Talsma of Jack’s I and Gordy Stone of Wonder Bar all turned in 8-ball breaks.
Gwinn Women’s
In week 24 results, Gwinn Inn I thrashed Gwinn Inn II, 13-2; Cascade drubbed Jokers, 1-4; Sturgis turned back the Legion Ladies, 10-5; and the American Girls defeated Happy Hour II, 9-6.
Also, The Throttle slipped past the HideAway Tribe, 9-6; Up North Lodge trimmed Richmond Township. 8-7; and VFW drew the bye.
