Negaunee finds ‘lucky’ numbers at Gladstone

GLADSTONE — The number three might’ve been lucky for Gladstone, but a trio of other numbers — namely, one, two and four — were what made winners of the Negaunee High School girls tennis team on the road on Friday. The Braves won both matches at the No. 3 flights in their meet, but the Miners went on a sweep at Nos. 1, 2 and 4 to win the overall meet by a score of 6-2. MARQUETTE — Hitting the road was twice as nice for the Marquette Senior High School girls tennis team on Thursday after the Sentinels went to Gladstone and edged the Braves 5-3, then traveled further south to Menominee and posted an 8-0 whitewash against the Maroons.
