Negaunee finds ‘lucky’ numbers at Gladstone
GLADSTONE — The number three might’ve been lucky for Gladstone, but a trio of other numbers — namely, one, two and four — were what made winners of the Negaunee High School girls tennis team on the road on Friday. The Braves won both matches at the No. 3 flights in their meet, but the Miners went on a sweep at Nos. 1, 2 and 4 to win the overall meet by a score of 6-2. Now 3-0 this season, Negaunee needed three sets in just one of its wins, a 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 victory posted by No. 4 singles player Katie Carlson over Gladstone’s Aylan Seder.
