Prep tennis: Negaunee blanks Gwinn

GWINN — The Negaunee High School girls tennis team is now 6-0 on the season, beating the host Gwinn Modeltowners 8-0 Tuesday.

“For having a limited roster and limited experience, Gwinn deserves credit for how hard those girls played,” said Kyle Saari, Negaunee tennis coach. “They’ll continue to improve.”

Saari saw progress with his own team.

“All of our flights seemed focus to start the week. Every day and every meet is important, and the girls have responded well so far,” he said. “They’re eager to continue finding ways to get better.”
