Salisbury, Nerlfi keep pace for Congress Pizzas

ISHPEMING — Marie Salisbury and Sophia Nerlfi put on their big-girl hitting shoes to lead Congress Pizzas to a 29-23 victory over Dave’s Collision/Jack’s in a Class A game played in the Iron Range Women’s Softball League on Wednesday evening. Congress held on to first place by a half-game over Phil and Lee’s, which also won. Congress Pizzas is 5-1 and Phil and Lee’s 4-1, the latter having a rainout to possibly be made up.
