MARQUETTE – Divers Molly Kearney and Angela Probstfeld of the Northern Michigan University swimming and diving team advanced Tuesday to the NCAA National Championships in 3-meter and 1-meter diving at a prequalifier at Indianapolis.

Kearney placed first in the 1-meter with a score of 279.5 points and eighth in the 3-meter with 276.20. Probstfeld posted a 13th-place finish in the 3-meter with 250.35 and 15th in the 1-meter with 254.4.

The field was comprised of 43 athletes, with 22 advancing to the NCAA National Championships.

The divers will return to the pool today for the 3-meter competition and Friday for the 1-meter.
