Gaspervich, Hodell lead NMU
MARQUETTE – Coach Troy Mattson’s Northern Michigan University women’s basketball team will hit the road for its next two games.
At 6 tonight, the Wildcats will meet Grand Valley State, then play at Ferris State at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Bre Gaspervich will take a team-best 10.7 points per game scoring average into tonight’s game for Northern (5-9 overall, 4-4 GLIAC).
Teammate Taylor Hodell continues to be a force on both sides of the floor, pulling down a team-best 6.6 rebounds while contributing 8.9 points.
GVSU (10-4, 5-3) will feature Kayla Dawson with a team-leading 16 points and 4.9 rebounds.
Brionna Barnett is contributing 12 points, while Bailey Cairnduff is adding 10.3 points per game.
Ferris State (3-11, 3-5) enters the week on a two-game losing streak.
Rachel McInerney is netting 13.4 points per game, while Joslyn Nicholson is contributing 6.3.
