MARQUETTE – Though winter might still seem far off, organizers of the 18th annual Noquemanon Ski Marathon are accepting advance registraton for the event.

Representatives from the Noquemanon Trail Network are confident the trail will be prepped and ready to go for events taking place Jan. 22-24. The event is backed by title sponsor Upper Peninsula Health System and major cosponsors mBank and Frei Chevrolet.

The first year in a three-year project to improve the course has been the top priority of the NTN.

Schedules are similar to the past, with the Junior Noque on Friday, adult ski races on Saturday and skijor, snowshoe and snow biking on Sunday.
