Tolvanen saluted again
MARQUETTE – Freshman goaltender Atte Tolvanen of Northern Michigan University has been named the WCHA Rookie of the Month for October.
It comes on the heels of him being named Defensive Player of the Week in the league in addition to two earlier Rookie of the Week awards from the WCHA.
The Vihti, Finland, native faced the second-most shots of any NCAA goaltender in October and finished with the second-most saves while playing the second-most minutes.
