NMU volleyball falls in 5 sets

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Northern Michigan University women’s volleyball team fell in five sets to host Ohio Dominican Friday night.

Northern won the first two sets, 25-22 and 25-14 before dropping the next three 25-21, 27-25 and 15-12.

Lisa Studnicka led the Wildcats with 18 kills, while Kayla Chosa and Madison Whitehead had 17 and 14 respectively.

Alex Berger finished with 31 digs, while Studnicka chipped in 16.

Autumn Monsma recorded five aces for the Wildcats.

Jami Hogeboom also had a career-high 58 assists, breaking her previous high of 52 set in September.

NMU (15-7, 4-6 GLIAC) plays at 2 p.m. today at Tiffin (Ohio).
