NMU picked 8th in GLIAC North
MARQUETTE – The Northern Michigan University men’s basketball team has been picked to finish eighth in the GLIAC North Division, the league said Wednesday.
The Wildcats received 25 points in the poll.
Saginaw Valley State led the North with 108 points and 13 first-place votes. Ferris State (97) and Lake Superior State (72) rounded out the top three in the division.
Ashland (Ohio) received the most points in the South Division with 103. Findlay (102) came in a close second, followed by Walsh (99).
NMU’s Terry Nash was selected to the North Division Second Team. Nash started 21 games last season for the Wildcats, averaging 7.5 points per game and leading the team with 91 assists.
