Guthrie leads NMU golfers
JEROMESVILLE, Ohio – Karissa Guthrie secured a top-10 finish to lead the Northern Michigan University women’s golf team at the Ashland University Invitational over the weekend.
Guthrie shot a two-round total of 162 (78-84) to tie for 10th in a field of 73 golfers.
The Wildcats tied for 10th, shooting 711 (353-358) at the par-72 Mohican Hills Golf Club.
Teammates Baylee Dunmire and Alyce Krumm tied for 52nd place with 183s, while Megan Sarotte was 56th with 185.
The Wildcats are back in action on Sunday and Monday when they compete at an invitational hosted by Findlay.
