MARQUETTE – An open tryout for men and women swimmers and divers for the Northern Michigan University varsity teams is scheduled for mid-April in the PEIF pool.

The tryout will be held at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, April 17.

Warmups begin at 3 p.m., with events determined by request. A one-meter diving event will be held.

Individuals trying out can be a junior or senior enrolled in high school and must have completed competition for the year in swimming and diving at their school; a junior college transfer; a four-year transfer who has a release from his or her respective university; or a current NMU student.

The following materials must be returned to NMU assistant coach Matt Williams by Thursday, April 9:

College release (if applicable).

Completed medical packet with a physical exam dated within the last six months. Information is available at the website www.nmuwildcats.com/information/policies.
