HOUGHTON – The Northern Michigan University nordic skiing team advanced three skiers at the U.S. Cross Country Skiing Championships Tuesday.

On the women’s side, Vivian Hett and Jordyn Ross move on to the quarterfinal round of the classic sprint races as did Fredrik Schwencke for the men. Hett finished 13th and Ross took 28th. Schwencke came in 13th place for the men.

NMU will participate in the 20K and 30K classic races at the U.S. Championships Thursday.
