MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan University football wide receiver Marcus Tucker was named to the First Team All-Region in Super Region 4 recently.

Tucker’s award was given by the Don Hansen National Weekly Football Gazette. He was an all-purpose nominee due to his talents as a receiver and special teams returner.

Tucker was first in the GLIAC in yards per catch at 21.1 on offense and was fourth in all-purpose yards with 1,704. He also led the Wildcats with 40 receptions and 843 yards. Tucker was third in the GLIAC in yards per return, 26.3, on special teams.

Previously, Tucker was named to the All-GLIAC Second Team about a month ago.
