Area players named Special, Honorable Mention

MARQUETTE — More than a dozen boys high school basketball players from The Mining Journal’s coverage area in five central Upper Peninsula counties earned Special Mention and Honorable Mention in All-U.P. voting earlier this week. The U.P. Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association met at Northern Michigan University on Monday, determining awards in both boys and girls basketball. Girls honors will be announced next week.
