LEMONT, Ill. -- Junior Maddy Martens and freshman Boden Moore led their respective Northern Michigan University women's and men's golf teams at the Flyer Fall Intercollegiate meet hosted by Lewis University on Monday and Tuesday.
With both teams competing at the Cog Hill Golf & Country Club, two rounds were played Monday with one more Tuesday.
Both teams are back in action in a week at the Panther Invitational hosted by Davenport in downstate Augusta on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 17-18.
That will wrap up the women's season, while the men have another meet right on its heels, the Warrior Invite hosted by Wayne State in suburban Detroit on Oct. 19-20. The women's team had its Warrior Invitational in late September.

Women
Martens shot 244 to come in at 28-over-par on the par-72 course, tying for 19th in the women's individual standings among 62 golfers.
She led NMU to sixth place at 123-over with 987. Lewis won with 57-over 921, 66 strokes ahead of the Wildcats, while McKendree was second at 73-over 937. Wisconsin-Parkside was the lowest scoring GLIAC team at 83-over 947 for third.
Northern finished ahead of eighth-place Purdue Northwest, the only other GLIAC team in the field, at 147-over.
Martens struggled early with an opening-round 16-over 88, but bounced back with 4-over 76 and 8-over 78, her middle 18 holes tied for sixth best of that round in the field. She had both her birdies in that round, which also featured 11 pars, four bogeys and one double-bogey.
Teammate Hailey Bolander was right on her heels with 30-over 246 to finish 23rd on rounds of 8-over 80, 12-over 84 and 10-over 82. She had one birdie in the first and third rounds for two total.
Abbie Pietila was NMU's third-best finisher at 32-over 248 for a tie for 27th on rounds of 9-over 81, 10-over 82 and 13-over 85. She also had two birdies, both in the final round.
Then came Aavra Relich at 36-over 252 to tie for 33rd on rounds of 13-over 85, 10-over 82 and 13-over 85. The fourth straight Wildcat with two birdies, she had one each in the first and third rounds.
NMU's Payton Donnelly finished at 50-over 266 with rounds of 13-over 85, 20-over 92 and 17-over 89. She had one birdie in the middle round.
McKendree's Alba Camps won a close race for best individual score, totaling 10-over 226 on rounds of 78, 71 and 77.
Men
Despite Moore tying for 25th in a field of 88 golfers, Northern was only able to tie for 14th in a 15-team field at 93-over 957. NMU's rounds were 34-over 322, 34-over 322 and 25-over 313.
Missouri-St. Louis won the title with an 11-over 875, 15 strokes ahead of runner-up Quincy. In the GLIAC, Parkside was third, Purdue NW seventh and Roosevelt ninth.
Moore, a Northern freshman and Marquette Senior High School graduate, shot a 14-over 230 on rounds of 5-over 77, 6-over 78 and 3-over 75. His final 18 holes tied for 15th in the field that round.
Moore carded two birdies each round for a total of a half-dozen, doing it on six different holes over his two days of play.
His final round had 12 pars, three bogeys and a double-bogey.
Next for the Wildcats was Jacob Daavettila with 21-over 237 in a tie for 48th with 10-over 82, 2-over 74 and 9-over 81. His middle round tied for 11th best in the field. Both his birdies came in his final round as the middle round.
Another NMU freshmen who graduated from MSHS, Easton Aho was next with a 28-over 244 to tie for 70th with 9-over 81, 13-over 85 and 6-over 78.
He had four birdies, two in the middle round and one each in the other rounds as his final round also included 11 pars, five bogeys and one double-bogey.
Teammate Harvey Ylitalo shot 33-over 249 for a tie for 77th with 10-over 82, 13-over 85 and 10-over 82. He had one birdie each round.
And Levi Pennala rounded out Northern's contingent, shooting 35-over 251 to tie for 80th with 10-over 82, 18-over 90 and 7-over 79. He had three birdies, one in the opening round and two in the final.
Missouri-St. Louis had individual winner Ludvig Granlund with a 2-under-par 214 on rounds of 69, 74 and 71, four ahead of a trio tied for runner-up.
