NEGAUNEE — Nicolette Schultz cranked out three home runs to lead LaCosse & Associates to a 27-9 victory over Jasper Ridge Brewery in a Class A game of the Iron Range Women’s Softball League on Wednesday.

Teammate Morganne Borman also hit a homer, as did Jasper Ridge’s Brittany Singer.

In another “A” game in Week 8 of the season, Brandi Logan smacked a pair of triples and collected an RBI while Abbie Salisbury had four hits as Congress Pizzas scored a 24-1 win over Tino’s, whose Taryn Myers tripled and also had an RBI.

Jayda Johnson and Kenzie Karki both homered and Taylor Paquet tripled to pace River Rock to a 16-4 triumph over Pasquali’s, whose Frannie Nakkula had two RBIs and Jill Howard one RBI.

All-around great hitting was credited for leading Phil and Lee’s to a 20-1 victory over Dave’s Collision/Jack’s, whose Sinead Korvela doubled.

In Class B, Livvie Denofre was 4 for 4 and Chelsea Roberts and Andria Corcoran each went 3 for 4 as Pineshears outlasted Signs Unlimited 20-12.

Roberts also hit two home runs and a double, Corcoran a homer and triple, and Denofre and teammate Chelsey Wunder each homered.

Signs’ Leah Dompierre went 4 for 4 and Angie Judici 2 for 3 with a triple as Becky Gauthier was credited with good defense.

Also in “B,” Vickie Paupore, Joanna Smail and Dana Rivord all went 4 for 4 while Katelyn Lammi hit a homer and two doubles as Quality Car Care scored a 20-5 win over Willey’s Tire Shop, whose Cherie Johnson and Brooke Mitchell were also 4 for 4 as Lily Bleckler doubled.

Mariah Heard and Hailey Hytinen each homered as Paradise Bar eked out a 17-16 victory over Palomaki Family Chiropractic.

Heard went 5 for 5 and Hytinen 4 for 5, while Palomaki’s Jenni Quayle and Michelle Lusardi both went 4 for 4 as Terri Todd homered.

Jen Laurila hit a home run and Nichi Sundberg was 3 for 3 as Dee’s Nuts cracked up a 30-3 win over the Eagles, whose Brianna Bauer homered and Jojo West was 2 for 3.

Barron’s Auto Repair had a bye.
