MARQUETTE — Three players from the Marquette Senior High School varsity baseball team earned All-District recognition after MHSAA Division 1 district tournaments were held last week.

The recognition was made for players from a pair of companion districts, ones hosted by Traverse City West and Mount Pleasant, according to an email from MSHS manager Mark Pantti.

The two districts included nine teams — Marquette, Traverse City West, Traverse City Central, Alpena, Mount Pleasant, Midland, Midland Dow, Bay City Western and Saginaw Heritage.

The Sentinels’ three All-District players were senior pitcher Alex Brennan, sophomore infielder Wesley Robinson and sophomore outfielder Evan Brown.

The same trio were Marquette’s representatives on the All-Great Northern Conference Dream Team, too.

Robinson batted .405 overall with seven doubles and three triples as he scored 30 runs, collected 19 RBIs, stole 16 bases and had a .989 fielding percentage with 77 putouts and 37 assists.
