MARQUETTE — Gentz’s Homestead Golf Course is getting an early start on this season’s holes-in-one, already recording two before the calendar turned to June.
On May 16, Jamie Burns of Marquette used a 48-degree wedge to ace the 130-yard No. 2 hole. This was Burns’ second career hole-in-one.
Witnesses were Michael Kortum, Paul Kortum and Cody Kortum.
Then on May 25, Bob Lantto of Marquette notched his first-ever ace on the same No. 2 hole, which from the tees he was playing was at 110 yards as he used a 6-wood.
