HERMANSVILLE — Things are shaping up for another successful tournament with the entry deadline approaching for the 87th Gold Medal Classic independent basketball tournament.

This year’s edition of the historic 11-day tournament will be held March 12-22 at the Frank Rodman Community Club in Hermansville.

Entry deadline is March 6, with three of the adult classes already filled, according to tournament director Bryan Maule. Classes A and B, along with the Women’s Division, all played with a double-elimination format, have the maximum eight teams entered. 

The Junior High boys and girls divisions are also at full capacity and are round-robin format. Class B and the Junior High divisions will be held March 14-15. 

Class A and the Women’s Division competition will be held March 21-22. 

Entries for classes C, D, E and EE, plus the newly formed Alumni Division, are still being taken until the entry deadline.
