MARQUETTE — The Northern Michigan University hockey team will auction its game-worn, home “Cat Head” jerseys during the Wildcats’ game against Michigan Tech on Friday evening at the Berry Events Center.

Fans at the game will have a chance to purchase authentic NMU hockey jerseys on site, with no online bidding available. Tables will be set up at the west end of the building, above the student section and opposite the Zamboni doors.

Bidding starts at 6 p.m. and ends at the puck drop for the third period. If you are a winner, it is required that you pay for and pick up your jersey immediately following the end of bidding. Either cash or credit card payments are accepted, and there will be no shipping available.

Names on jerseys have been removed, but the respective “C” or “A” designations for captains and alternate captains, respectively, have been kept on the front.

Winners must claim their jersey at the bidding tables before the end of the game. Any jerseys left unclaimed after the game is over will be deferred to the next highest bidder. That person will be contacted via phone for how he or she can acquire it.
