Ishpeming High School senior Jenessa Eagle poses with the ball she scored the milestone points and a collage put together by friends and family after she became the all-time leading scorer in Hematites’ basketball history, boys and girls teams included. She reached the milestone on Dec. 30 in an away game in Painesdale against Jeffers High School, making a basket in the lane during the second quarter that was assisted by teammate Frankie Stetson. Ishpeming head coach Ryan Reichel noted that she was at 1,379 points after that day, surpassing a record set just last season by boys player Caden Luoma, who played for Ishpeming through 2025 and totaled 1,364 points.
