HOUGHTON — There have been some changes to the Copper Mountain Conference-Skyline Central Conference Showcase girls basketball event originally scheduled for today.

Games have been moved to Wednesday due to an impending winter storm expected to hit most or all parts of the Upper Peninsula today.

Rescheduled games will be played at Houghton High School and involve six of the original eight teams on the schedule.

Baraga and Norway were unable to make the rescheduled date and it has been decided to play their game at another date, according to an email received from Lake Linden-Hubbell athletic director Jack Kumpula.

A pair of area teams square off in the event’s final game at 3:30 p.m. — Munising vs. L’Anse.

The earlier games pit Forest Park vs. Wakefield-Marenisco at 12:30 p.m. and LL-H vs. North Dickinson at 2 p.m.
