The Wildcats’ football team plays six home games in the Superior Dome this fall, beginning with the season opener against Minnesota State-Moorhead at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, and running through the season’s final game, also at home, against GLIAC foe Wayne State at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15.

NMU volleyball has nine home dates at Vandament Arena, opening at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, against conference opponent Wisconsin-Parkside. Interestingly, this Wildcat team’s final regular-season home match is the same afternoon as the final football game, at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, vs. Saginaw Valley State.

However, the volleyball team will likely have at least one date in the GLIAC Tournament, with a good finish in the conference bringing that game to Vandament.

And there will be a total of 16 basketball dates at Vandament, 10 of them GLIAC doubleheaders with three nonconference games on separate dates for each of the women’s and men’s teams.

The NMU women have the first home game at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, vs. nonconference St. Cloud State, followed a day later against Minnesota-Duluth at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21.

The men open their home season the afternoon before Thanksgiving Day at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, vs. Concordia, Wisconsin.

The first GLIAC doubleheader at Vandament will be on New Year’s Day, Thursday, Jan. 1, the women starting off the twinbill at 5:30 p.m. vs. Davenport.

Schedules for these and all NMU teams can be found on the NMU athletics website, nmuwildcats.com.
