ISHPEMING — Lindsay Williams homered and Chastity Hudson and Brooke Mitchell each tripled to lead Willey’s Tire Shop to a 21-16 victory over Pineshears in a Class B game of the Iron Range Women’s Softball League on Wednesday.

Casey Dugan, Heidi Verville and Andrea Corcoran all went 4 for 4 for Pineshears, with Dugan homering and Verville and Corcoran each hitting a pair of doubles.

In another “B” game, Katelyn Lammi hit a two-run homer over the fence and Taylor Ring was 5 for 5 with three RBIs as Quality Car Care won 20-13 over Paradise Bar, whose Jennifer Hytinen-Polkki was 5 for 5, April Lawler 4 for 4 and Mariah Heard was cited for great defense.

Nikki Chapman and Leah Dompierre both went 3 for 3 as Signs Unlimited won 12-3 over Palomaki Family Chiropractic, who Krystal Bergman was also 3 for 3 and Kathy Gischia doubled.

And Taryn Mears went 3 for 3 while teammates Kassy Antilla and Paige Willey both tripled and Lauri Saldana and Kaydi Carlson each doubled to lift Tino’s to a 14-4 win over the Elks Lodge.

In Class A, Morgan Kowalski and Kate Pilarski both homered to pace LaCosse & Associates to a 26-21 victory over Dave’s Collision/Jack’s Teepee, whose Payton Manninen also homered.

In other “A” action, Jackie Skradski hit a grand slam over the fence as Barrel + Beam had all-around good offense in a 34-0 whitewash of the Eagles, whose Makenze Gerding went 2 for 2.

Katt Beerling went 5 for 5 while several others each were 4 for 5 as Congress Pizza put on its hitting shoes in a 37-13 win over Jasper Ridge Brewery, whose Dany Bleau was 2 for 3 with a double and Taylor Oakland 2 for 2.

And Kenzie Karki tripled while Brandi Maxon was cited for great defense in River Rock’s 17-1 triumph over Pasquali’s, whose Eliina Miilu collected two hits and scored a run.
