U.P. Sports Hall holding golf scramble fundraiser
MUNISING — The Upper Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame has opened registration for its four-person golf scramble to be held at Pictured Rocks Golf Club in Munising the final week of July.
The event is a fundraiser for the work done by the UPSHF, which includes providing $1,000 scholarships annually to four graduating seniors from U.P. high schools.
This year’s winners are Kate Mattson of Munising, Cole Baij of Norway, and Madelynn Kreider and Gavin Trevillian of Kingsford.
The scramble begins with an 11 a.m. shotgun start on Saturday, July 26, at the course located just east of Munising. Entry fee is $320, which includes 18 holes of golf, dinner and cash prizes. Golf carts are available to rent for $30 each.
Registration deadline is July 1.
Hole sponsorships are also available, which also helps the UPSHF mission. Three tiers of support include Gold sponsors for $500, Silver for $250 and hole sponsors for $100.
