MARQUETTE — The Northern Michigan University men’s soccer coaching staff will conduct its twice-yearly camp to bring prospective players to the the attention of the team and the Wildcats’ team to the attention of prospects.
The two-day Summer Elite ID Camp will be held in mid-July at the NMU Soccer Field, located just outside the Superior Dome overlooking Lake Superior. The dome itself may be available if weather forces the event indoors.
“We are excited to announce this year’s Summer Elite ID Camp, as our ID camp is an essential part of our recruiting process,” said Northern head coach Alex Fatovic, who will enter his fourth season on the bench this fall. “We’ve had some huge contributors come through our camps over the years, so I encourage all interested transfers and rising seniors and juniors to make this Summer Elite ID Camp.”
It is open to all prospects who potentially could be interested in joining the Wildcats in 2026 or even later and like to play attacking and possession-based soccer at the highest level.
Fatovic said there are limited spots on the NMU team still available for 2026 and 2027, so it’s a perfect opportunity to showcase your talents directly to the Northern coaching staff.
Check-in will be held at 5:30 p.m. and the camp opens at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 18, and runs two hours that evening, then for multiple sessions on Saturday, July 19. The Saturday morning session is from 9 to 10:30 a.m., a college talk-Q&A session is scheduled for noon to 12:45 p.m., and the final session is set for 1 to 2:30 p.m.
It is specifically meant for high school juniors and seniors and college transfers and be held at the outdoor NMU Soccer Natural Turf Pitch.
Cost is $130, with a $25 nonrefundable processing fee for cancellations, with registration open until a week prior to the opening session.
Campers should bring indoor and outdoor soccer boots, a water bottle, soccer ball, shin guards, change of shirt and snacks, as food will not be provided.
