Northern Michigan University youth soccer camps scheduled in July

MARQUETTE — The Northern Michigan University men’s and women’s soccer teams will be holding two editions of the annual NMU Soccer School in July.

“We are very excited for another edition of the summer soccer program from NMU,” Wildcats head men’s soccer coach Alex Fatovic said. “Last year, we had record numbers, and we are already near capacity for 2024.

“Register today to join the NMU men’s and women’s soccer staff and players for two fun-filled weeks at NMU Soccer School.”

Each youth camp will be held from Monday through Thursday, the first from July 15-18 and the second from July 22-25. The sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to noon each day at NMU’s fields near the intersection of Wright Street and Lincoln Avenue.

Participants should bring a water bottle, shin guards, indoor and outdoor soccer boots, and a size 4 or 5 soccer ball each day.

The camps are open to girls and boys in grades kindergarten through 12th grade. Cost is $157 per week, or $127 for a second sibling. Youth can attend both camps for $275 with the sibling discount not offered. Note that there is a minimum nonrefundable processing fee of $25 for cancellations.

Registration is available at the NMU Tickets website at nmu.universitytickets.com, and those registering are asked to use the promo code 2024soccer30. Deadline is one week prior to the start of each camp.
