ISHPEMING — The McDonald’s team won three of its past five games during play in Little League Minor Division baseball play.

River Rock 12, McDonald’s 11

River Rock’s Liam Huetter and Nolan Nault both had a single and a walk, with Huetter scoring twice and Nault once. Jaxon Hart went three innings, recording nine strikeouts.

McDonald’s Noah Filpus was 2 for 2, including a double, as he scored twice, while teammate Ryker Smith pitched two innings and fanned four.

Window Outfitters 11, McDonald’s 5

The winners’ Isaac Brancheau was this game’s star, striking out six in just two innings on the mound while drawing a pair of walks and scoring a run at the plate.

For McDonald’s, Smith was 2 of 3 while pitcher Jackson Jarvis went three innings with 6 K’s.

McDonald’s 10, Skandia Truss 7

Smith and Jarvis each went two innings on the mound for McDonald’s as teammate Sawyer Carey doubled and Jack Burke both walked and scored twice.

For Skandia Truss, Oliver Bray was 1 for 2 with a run scored.

McDonald’s 16, Gwinn Chiropractic 6

Smith and Finn Heikkinen put on their hitting shoes for the winners, Smith going 3 for 4 while smacking two doubles and an inside-the-park home run as Heikkinen was 4 for 4 with a double.

Jarvis went two innings pitching for McDonald’s, fanning six.

Gwinn Chiropractic’s Nolan Dow hit a double and pitched two innings as he struck out three.

McDonald’s 13, WIN Lawn Care 6

Heikkinen again had a big hitting game for McDonald’s, going 2 for 2 with an inside-the-park homer and a double, while teammate Jonah Harder walked twice and scored two times.

Jarvis went 2 2/3 innings on the mound for the winners, K’ing six.

WIN Lawn Care’s Theo Heikkila had a single and walk, while Braxton Gauthier both walked and scored twice. Teammate Jackson Rich went two innings on the mound, striking out three.
