MARQUETTE — Winners have been announced for the annual Marquette Turkey Trot held on Thanksgiving Day Thursday as a fundraiser for the Marquette Senior High School Orchestra.

The event started at the high school, went to Tourist Park and returned.

Dogs were welcome and actually had their own competition for the fastest along with the humans.

The 10-kilometer overall winner was Charlie Ro in 34 minutes, 40 seconds, with Jennifer Smith the female winner in 47:12 and Bella the winning dog at that distance in 47:01.

For the 5K, Henry Plummer completed that course in 19:25, Brynn Wieciech for the female division in 23:12 and the top dog being Sokka in 20:48.
