HYDE — The Highland Golf Club is hosting a two-woman Ryder Cup tournament next Wednesday morning.

Beginning with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. EDT, the tourney features six holes of scramble, six holes of alternate shot and six hole of playing her own ball.

Scramble style means playing the best ball of the partners’ shots, alternate shots is as the name suggests alternating shots by the team and playing her own ball includes recording the lowest score of the pair.

Club officials say the course, located seven miles west of Escanaba, is in “great shape” and welcomes golfers to enjoy the “friendliest course around.”

Entry fee is $100 per teams that includes lunch and prizes. Carts are available for $30.
