SANDS — The Sands Township Recreation playground near the Crossroads in Sands Township will host several pickleball clincs to be conducted by area tennis professional Josh Kitto, who recently also became certified as a pickleball pro.

Two-session beginners clinics will be held on consecutive Mondays in May, all sessions running from 6:15 to 8 p.m. Session 1 is on May 3 and 10, with Session 2 on May 17 and 24.

An “Improvers” clinic for those with some experience with the sport will be a single three-hour session, noon to 3 p.m., also in May. Session 1 is on Sunday, May 16, and Session 2 on Sunday, May 23.

The playground is located just south of the Crossroads intersection at 987 State Highway M-553.

Cost is $30 per clinic with equipment available to use, though class sizes are limited.
