ESCANABA — The 57th annual Escanaba Football Clinic for coaches will be held on Friday, April 23.

To be conducted at the Freshwater Tavern of the Terrace Bay Inn between Escanaba and Gladstone along U.S. 2-41, three sessions will be held with start times from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Three leading Upper Peninsula high school coaches will conduct the sessions. They include Iron Mountain head coach Robin Marttila speaking on “The Mountaineer 53 Defense,” Marquette offensive coordinator Chris Messano on “Three Plays the Redmen Often Execute” and North Central head coach Leo Gorzinski on “Run Blocking Out Of Spread 3-by-1 Formations.”

Early registration, through Wednesday, is $35 per coach, with a cost of $30 per coach for at least three from the same school. Registration at the start of the clinic is $40.
