Ishpeming graduate Korey Kaukola cracks another homer for Bay softball team
CHAIN OF LAKES, Fla. — A pair of area high school graduates made their marks for Bay College when the Norse were swept in a college softball doubleheader against Lincoln Trail Community College on Monday.
Bay sophomore Korey Kaukola, a graduate of Ishpeming High School, blasted her second home run of the season and her second in two days in the first inning of the first game on Monday. This was a three-run blast as she finished 2 for 2.
Bay freshman Karlie Patron, a Westwood graduate, took the pitching loss in Game 2, allowing seven unearned runs on four hits in two innings.
The Norse were scheduled to play Bethel University JV in a doubleheader today, but those games were canceled. Their next action is another twinbill against Eastern Florida State on Thursday afternoon that wraps up Bay College’s swing through Florida.
