Lake Superior State involved in multiple WCHA schedule shifts
HOUGHTON — An all-Upper Peninsula WCHA hockey series not involving Northern Michigan University has been rescheduled over the next two weeks.
The Lake Superior State at Michigan Tech series postponed from Jan. 22-23 will be played on the next two Tuesdays, Feb. 16 and 23, at the Huskies’ MacInnes Student Ice Arena. Each game time is 2:07 p.m.
Several other WCHA series previously postponed have all been rescheduled.
LSSU at Bemidji State, originally Jan. 29-30, will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 2-3, in Bemidji, Minnesota. Game times are 7:07 p.m. EST on March 2 and 5:07 p.m. EST the following day.
Another series involving LSSU has changed, too. Originally a home-and-home series between the Lakers and Ferris State on Feb. 26-27, it will be split between two weekends. The first game now is at 7:07 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26, in Big Rapids and the second at 3:07 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, at Sault Ste. Marie.
And a home-and-home series between Alabama-Huntsville and Bowling Green State has also changed. Originally a Feb. 24 and 27 series, it’s now at 7:07 p.m. EST on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Bowling Green, Ohio, and at 4:07 p.m. EST on Sunday, Feb. 28, in Huntsville, Alabama.
