Gwinn product Brooke Mannor helps Bay College women’s basketball team get win

LYNWOOD, Ill. — Sophomore and Gwinn High School graduate Brooke Mannor hit a pair of clutch free throws in the final minute to help Bay College defeat South Suburban College 59-58 for its first women’s basketball win of the season on Sunday.

Mannor finished with five points, three rebounds and a steal. The only two free throws she tried came with 52 seconds left to pull her team with three points.

Bay trailed at the end of each of the first three quarters, but not by enough to be out of the game when it mounted its fourth-quarter comeback. SS led 13-12 after one quarter, 31-27 at halftime and 44-39 after three.
