MSHS swimmer VanderSchaaf going to NMU

Marquette Senior High School senior swimmer Erin VanderSchaaf, sitting at center, recently signed a National Letter of Intent to attend and join the women's swimming and diving team at Northern Michigan University. Standing from left at the signing ceremony are her family, brother Carson VanderSchaaf, father Lyle VanderSchaaf, mother Erin VanderSchaaf and brother Colin VanderSchaaf. She participated with the Wildcat Aquatic Club during the past winter season, and prior to that, was a six-time MHSAA Upper Peninsula champion for MSHS. In 2019, she won the 500-yard freestyle and swam with the Redettes' winning 200 medley relay and 400 free relay.
