MARQUETTE — Scott Erickson outlasted Dennis Hruska in a final-hole “chip-off” to win the Marquette Golf Club’s annual Shootout tournament on Saturday.

Held as the club’s final tournament event of the season, 10 participants are selected for the event based on their tourney winnings during the 2020 season.

The other competitors were Mike Marietta, Carter Hendricks, Noah Peterson, Cody Langdon, Ben Specker, Dan McCutcheon, Scott Koski and Ed Grimes Jr.

The Shootout format is nine holes with one player eliminated on each hole until one golfer is left.

Erickson and Hruska tied on the ninth hole with the chip-off deciding the champion, which netted Erickson a $400 gift certificate.
