HOUGHTON — Michigan Tech University will expand the open hours of certain parts of its Student Development Complex beginning Monday.

The SDC fitness center and lap pool will expand hours only for students, faculty and staff, though the university said in a news release that it plans future phases that should open it up to the general community.

That would include racquetball courts, the multipurpose room, climbing wall as well as HuskiesFit classes and youth programs.
