Don North notches first hole-in-one at Red Fox Run
K.I. SAWYER — Club member Don North found it’s way better than late than never as he recorded his first hole-in-one at the age of 72 on Sunday at Red Fox Run Golf Course at K.I. Sawyer.
North, who said he took up golf in his late 50s, used a 21-degree fairway wood to ace the 150-yard second hole playing off the senior tees.
North has also bowled at least one perfect 300 game, coming just over a decade ago at Country Lanes in Ishpeming.
Witnesses to the hole-in-one were Bruce Novotny, Steve Luoma and Jim Garceau.
