Michigan Tech cancels summer camps

HOUGHTON — Michigan Tech University Recreation has canceled all summer sports camps and tournaments due to health and safety concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic.

MTU President Rick Koubek announced Friday the continued suspension of face-to-face instruction on Michigan Tech’s campus this summer, which includes cancellation of all outreach and in-person events.

Full refunds will be processed automatically for participants who previously registered. Questions can be emailed to sportscamps@mtu.edu.

Camps that were scheduled included football, hockey, volleyball, cross country running and outdoor adventure in July; boys and girls basketball in July and August; and girls soccer and figure skating in August.
