Ackermans pace Bay College women’s basketball team
LA CROSSE, Wis. — Kelsea Ackerman led Bay College with 14 points as the Norse women’s basketball team lost at Western Technical College 74-45 on Saturday.
Ackerman, a Bay sophomore from Munising, made 3 of 5 on 3-pointers to go with four steals, a rebound and an assist in 20 minutes of action.
Marissa Ackerman, also a Norse sophomore from Munising, tied for the second-highest points for a Bay player with five, pulled in three rebounds and made two steals.
Brooke Mannor, a freshman from Gwinn, scored two points by making the only shot she attempted and had a rebound and a steal. Trisha McGuire, another freshman from Gwinn, had one point and one steal.
Bay (2-1) hosts the Lake Superior State JV team at 1 p.m. Sunday.
